Licensed electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pressure washing, bin cleaning, and landscaping for Birmingham homeowners. Veteran-owned, one phone number, transparent pricing.
Birmingham's housing stock spans more than a century of construction, and each era comes with its own maintenance profile. Here's what we encounter most often across the city.
Birmingham's residential landscape is genuinely mixed: historic bungalows in Avondale and Woodlawn, mid-century ranch homes in Homewood and Vestavia Hills, and newer construction in Trussville and Chelsea. Each era has a distinct service profile. What a 1925 Craftsman in Forest Park needs from us differs significantly from what a 2005 build in Trussville needs — and we know the difference.
Many older Birmingham homes — particularly in Woodlawn, East Lake, and the Southside neighborhoods — still have knob-and-tube or early aluminum branch-circuit wiring. Our licensed master electrician identifies and documents these systems during our electrical safety inspection, so you know exactly what you're dealing with and what an upgrade would involve. We never upsell for the sake of it.
Birmingham sits on Red Mountain limestone and shale geology, and many older homes in the area have slab foundations or shallow crawl spaces that limit access to below-grade plumbing. Before purchasing an older Birmingham home, a sewer camera inspection is one of the most valuable things you can do. We run the camera and give you a plain-language report on what we find.
Jefferson County ranks among the highest in Alabama for lightning strike frequency. A single nearby strike — even if it doesn't hit your home directly — can destroy HVAC control boards, smart home equipment, and appliances through power surges. Whole-home surge protection, installed at the panel, is a straightforward and relatively inexpensive safeguard. Our electrical team installs these regularly across the metro.
Birmingham's tree canopy is one of the city's genuine assets — but it creates real maintenance demand. Neighborhoods like Forest Park, Crestwood, and Mountain Brook see significant leaf accumulation in gutters and on driveways from October through December. Gutter flushing, driveway and walkway pressure washing, and fall leaf removal are among our highest-volume services in Q4. Members get priority scheduling before the rush.
Birmingham averages 17 days above 90°F annually, with high humidity compounding heat stress on HVAC equipment. Systems that are 12+ years old often fail during the first extended heat event of summer — the worst possible time. Our HVAC maintenance program catches aging components before they fail, and our members get 24/7 emergency response when things do go wrong.
Every trade under one roof means no coordinating between three different contractors. You call one number, we handle everything.
Panel upgrades, whole-home surge protection, circuit additions, EV charger installation, safety inspections, and code compliance work. Licensed AL master electrician on every job.
System diagnostics, tune-ups, refrigerant service, ductwork inspection, and full system replacement. Licensed HVAC. 24/7 emergency response for members.
Sewer camera inspection, water heater replacement, fixture installation, leak detection, and drain clearing. Slab-access plumbing is a Birmingham specialty for us.
Driveways, walkways, patios, decks, fences, and home exteriors. Soft-wash available for siding and painted surfaces. Fall scheduling fills fast — members get priority.
Trash and recycling bin sanitization and deodorization. Recurring service available. Included in our Home Maintenance and Total Home membership plans.
Lawn maintenance, leaf removal, bed edging, and seasonal cleanup. High demand in Forest Park, Crestwood, and Mountain Brook in fall. Year-round plans available.
We cover the full Birmingham metro — from the historic neighborhoods inside the city to the surrounding Jefferson County communities. Below is a representative list; if you don't see your neighborhood, call us.
A note on geography: Birmingham's neighborhoods are unusually diverse in character over short distances. The post-industrial communities along the Mineral District (Bessemer, Brighton, Lipscomb, Fairfield) have housing stock and infrastructure challenges that differ sharply from the newer subdivisions in Gardendale and Fultondale — which in turn differ from the historic high-value neighborhoods in Mountain Brook and Forest Park. We serve all of them with the same licensed team and the same transparent pricing. No franchise markups based on zip code.
In Jefferson County and the City of Birmingham, permitted work requires coordination with the appropriate building department. We handle all of it.
For any permitted work — panel replacements, new HVAC installs, plumbing rough-in, new circuits — we submit the permit application to the Jefferson County Building Department or the appropriate municipal authority (City of Birmingham, City of Hoover, City of Vestavia Hills, etc.) before work begins. We schedule the required inspection, ensure the inspector can access the work, and provide you with the final documentation. You do not need to visit a permit office, make a single call to the building department, or track inspection status. That's our job.
This matters for two reasons: unpermitted work can void your homeowner's insurance coverage for related claims, and it creates disclosure headaches when you sell. Every job we do that requires a permit gets one.
